Kuhmo Oy has ordered a fully automatic high capacity 2-zone progressive kiln type HTC with an annual capacity of ca. 65 000 m3 from Heinola Sawmill Machinery Inc.
The drying kiln can be used for drying of pine and spruce timber with thicknesses of 16 – 50 mm from sawn green timber to the final moisture of 12 – 18 %.
The turnkey delivery consists also energy measuring system, high capacity heat recovery unit, pressure frames and HEINOLA’s advanced Dry Kiln Control System.
The new progressive kiln will be taken into production early 2018. This investment eliminates the bottleneck in Kuhmo Oy’s process and thereby enables increase in production.
