How to move around in this Social Network

KK-Net has been around since 1:10pm on November 17, 2007. We're now looking into mobile content development. It's possible to deliver photos and videos with a smart phone.


Some people find the NING-platform somewhat difficult to navigate. This "Box" describes how to find the people where to take advantage of the content and discussions.

Most important is to get more members to reach critical mass for continuous many to many dialog and interaction.

1. Groups - Specific discussions about the themes
- become a member of your choice of groups
- participate in the discussions
- you get email notifications if you decide for them

2. Events - Activities that have been posted to the site
- you can add your own events

3. Forums - You can start your own discussions
- social media is all about participation, sharing, and interaction

4. Blog - You can start your own blog
- this feature is still rarely used
- take advantage of the opportunity

5. Videos - Add your own videos with computer or mobile device

6. Podcasts - Add your music or podcasts

7. Pictures - Add your pictures

8. Search - To find out details

Post your comments about how to improve the navigation. We do our best to make this a place where you like to spend your time, share your knowledge and ideas, and make friends with knowledge workers around the world.


We'd 67 members October 31, 2008. This network has been expanding with about one member a day since 08.08.08. There are tons of bigger networks but we've great people innovating and collaborating.

May 16, 2009 we've reached 106 members.

October 30, 2008 Juha Vahe suggested a new Group about World Affaires and Globalization. Become members and start to discuss how to solve the financial crisis and the looming global recession. What if we could "talk it away" (Kalevala: Laulaa suohon!).

The global recession still continues. It will take a long time before the real economy returns back to the level of 2007.
