There was a time when people all over Europe were capable to build and construct beautiful wooden constructions.

Today, we say that wooden buildings are too expensive. What happened? Something wrong with our mindset?

Robots could be used to make the cuts and carvings. We've to get in touch with wood again, build a long lasting relationship and deeper understanding about the material.

Let's make public places and buildings beautiful again.

Key points of the demerger

The Extraordinary General Meeting of Metso approved the demerger on October 1, 2013.

There will be two differentiated technology companies.

After the demerger Metso's Pulp, paper and power business will form a new company Valmet corporation.

Mining and Construction and Automation business will form the continuing operations of Metso Corporation.

I guess, the Kajaani Metso will continue to operate under the name of "Metso".

What will this mean?

Is the demerger going to boost growth?
